“Lorelai Diederich, crown princess and fugitive at large, has one mission: kill the wicked queen who took both the Ravenspire throne and the life of her father. To do that, Lorelai needs to use the one weapon she and Queen Irina have in common—magic. She’ll have to be stronger, faster, and more powerful than Irina, the most dangerous sorceress Ravenspire has ever seen.

In the neighboring kingdom of Eldr, when Prince Kol’s father and older brother are killed by an invading army of magic-wielding ogres, the second-born prince is suddenly given the responsibility of saving his kingdom. To do that, Kol needs magic—and the only way to get it is to make a deal with the queen of Ravenspire, promise to become her personal huntsman…and bring her Lorelai’s heart.

But Lorelai is nothing like Kol expected—beautiful, fierce, and unstoppable—and despite dark magic, Lorelai is drawn in by the passionate and troubled king. Fighting to stay one step ahead of the dragon huntsman—who she likes far more than she should—Lorelai does everything in her power to ruin the wicked queen. But Irina isn’t going down without a fight, and her final move may cost the princess the one thing she still has left to lose.”

This book was absolutely FANTASTIC! It was a retelling of Snow White but with a Dragon/Magic twist. Truly I’ve never read a book like this, and I couldn’t put it down.

The plot was wonderful! The opening gave us a brief history as to what had happened in the beginning of our main character’s past. This info helped us understand as to why the characters where were they where. It was action packed and drama filled 100% the rising action was suspenseful and filled with action. Action everywhere and OTPs… And FEELS. But oh my gosh when we got to that Climax? I was a puddle of FEELS that’s how good it was. It just kept going and got even more amazing that I just couldn’t handle it. The falling action, was intense and crazy. Along with romantic fearful and just amazing. But let me tell you, that conclusion? WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. The love and action in this entire book was Fire Breathing amazing. {pun may or may not have been intended…} The story idea kept going and it was wonderful! I just couldn’t put it down! So I finished it in 6 hours.

Now the characters where absolutely MARVELLOUS. Their development where written just beautifully and I loved how they all had to overcome a big loss to be able to become the people they where meant to be. Our Female Lead is, Lorelai Duederich, crown princess of Ravenspire. The one who will destroy the evil to help her kingdom. And her Brother, Leopold (Leo) Diederich, crowned prince of Ravenspire. They will fight together till the end so they may help the people and take back their home. Then we had our Male Lead. Kolvanismir (Kol) Arsenyevnek, Second born prince of Eldr. To become king meant great heart ship and loss. To rule with fire to help the people. He did what he must have to help his people live. We also had Gabril Busche, the man who practically raised Lorelai and Leo. He was the head guard for the passed king. Besides these main characters we also had our Villain, Queen Irina of Ravenspire. She is the name of true Evil. The darkness of the land the fear of the people. Are her. With her right hand man, Viktor. Along with these main characters we also had our supporting characters. Such as Sasha, Lorelai’s falcon friend. {not pet}, Trugg and Jyn, Kols best dragon friends. And many others! Without these characters the story wouldn’t have been as amazing as it was. They added drama, love, playfulness, and sass. And I wouldn’t change any of them.

This book was absolutely wonderful! Definitely one of the best Snow White retellings I’ve ever read. I can’t wait to see what C. J. Redwine has in store for us in her next novel!

Congratulations C.J. Redwine on your spectacular novel!
