“Orphaned, disgraced, and stripped of her title, Rho is ready to live life quietly, as an aid worker in the Cancrian refugee camp on House Capricorn.
But news has spread that the Marad–an unbalanced terrorist group determined to overturn harmony in the Galaxy–could strike any House at any moment.
Then, unwelcome nightmare that he is, Ochus appears to Rho, bearing a cryptic message that leaves her with no choice but to fight.
Now Rho must embark on a high-stakes journey through an all-new set of Houses, where she discovers that there’s much more to her Galaxy–and to herself–than she could have ever imagined.”
THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD. If I could rate it 10 stars I would. It continued on great from the first book and if anything it picked up the action and PLOT TWISTS. Oh the plot twists people! I practically died and went to feels heaven because of them. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone. It’s Sci-Fi and action and love all wrapped into an emotional roller coaster.
The plot of this book was absolutely fantastic! It picked up greatly from the first book. It was intense, loving and action filled. I loved all of it so much. The introduction was fantastic, it picked up quick and well from the first book and added on to what happened. The rising action was high pace and exciting. I couldn’t put it down at this part especially since the way it was written into the climax was holy crap wonderful! The climax itself was intense and feels filled since you know I was in tears the entire time. That’s how good it was written. The falling action was high pace and oh my gosh, WHY MUST SHE WRITE THIS?! I was in more tears and cries and screams because of it. And then the Conclusion?! Can I say, BEHOLD THE WONDERFUL LADY OF WRITING MARVELLOUS PLOT TWISTS?! Because that ending was fantastic. The plot twists where the main things that hit my feels. And I loved it.
The characters where wonderful as usual! Their development was fantastic and I loved the way they where written. I will be talking about the newer characters; I will bring up the ones from before but focus more on the new ones. All of them are supporting characters but they all added to the story and deserve to be mentioned. First Miss Trii, the robot who practically helped raise Hysan. She was nice and loved to help. Along with Mr Neith who was the robot who also helped Hysan. He made both of these robots and saw them as family. Then we had Deke, a carefree brotherly character who was like a second brother to Rho. Her best friend who stayed by her even if in the beginning he wasn’t so sure. He stayed true until the very end. And Deke will always be remembered. Then we had Stanton who was Rhos big brother, by blood. He is a wonderful character. Caring and brave. Especially protective over his baby sister, ever since the beginning. Along with his lover, Jewel. His life long best friend. They had been together since they where young. I love them and ugh the STANWEL feels hit me hard. Pandora was a new character introduced who had an interest in Mathias. I kinda ship them now but am still MATRHO strong along with RHOSAN strong. Then we had Aryll, the boy who saved Stan, Rhos brother. They where friends but was he to be trusted? Or to be feared. Who knows. And last but not least we had Ophiuchus. My BAE! Aka the 13th sign. He was so good and honestly I loved everything about him. I do hope we see more of him in the third book Black Moon. I loved all of these characters they where adorable and perfect! And just ugh the feels you guys. The feels.
Overall, I highly enjoyed this book and recommend all of you go read it! You’ll love it and want more to! The action love and intensity of the book itself was wonderful. Plus, it’s Sci-Fi guys. It’s hard to find a good Sci-Fi book. But this one. You will absolutely enjoy. So I recommend you all go buy it and enjoy it. Go do it. Like right now.
Congratulations Romina Russell on yet again another brilliant book! Can’t wait till Black Moon.
