Samantha is a stranger in her own life. Until the night she disappeared with her best friend, Cassie, everyone said Sam had it all-popularity, wealth, and a dream boyfriend.

Sam has resurfaced, but she has no recollection of who she was or what happened to her that night. As she tries to piece together her life from before, she realizes it’s one she no longer wants any part of. The old Sam took “mean girl” to a whole new level, and it’s clear she and Cassie were more like best enemies. Sam is pretty sure that losing her memories is like winning the lottery. She’s getting a second chance at being a better daughter, sister, and friend, and she’s falling hard for Carson Ortiz, a boy who has always looked out for her-even if the old Sam treated him like trash.

But Cassie is still missing, and the facts about what happened to her that night isn’t just buried deep inside of Sam’s memory-someone else knows, someone who wants to make sure Sam stays quiet. All Sam wants is the truth, and if she can unlock her clouded memories of that fateful night, she can finally move on. But what if not remembering is the only thing keeping Sam alive?”

Three words. OH. MY. GOD. This was my first ever Jennifer L. Armentrout book and let me tell you, she did NOT disappoint. I’ve heard nothing but great things about her books and I was drawn to this one, so I knew I had to read it. Oh the plot twists, and how they made my feels go crazy! The characters and character development where fantastic! With how at the beginning Samantha had amnesia, just wow. I have never read a book that started like that, it was eye opening and epic to read. The supporting characters where just as excellent, and let me tell you, Scott was one of the best.  And Del, I wasn’t the only one who wanted to whoop his ass.

From the beginning of the book to the ending, the characters grew more as people and not what they thought they should be. But what they could be. It was as if I was with them the entire time while reading this book, it was amazing.

The plot was excellent as I’ve heard. Along with the plot twists. Oh boy the plot twists, they where the end of me. The ending was seriously so dramatic and intense and well, you’ll have to read the book to find out. But overall it was an amazing story that I wouldn’t mind reading again in the future.

Everything about this book was stunning. From the cover to the fine line details of location and characters it was terrific and it drew me in right away. {Oh yes I caught the Nancy Drew references a lot}, I honestly couldn’t stop reading it, that’s how good it was. I highly recommend this book to fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout or just anyone who wants to start reading her books.

Congratulations Jennifer L. Armentrout on writing an amazing story! And making me a new fan of not only your writing style but your books as well!
