“What happens when happily ever after…isn’t?

Delilah is a bit of a loner who prefers spending her time in the school library with her head in a book — one book in particular. Between the Lines may be a fairy tale, but it feels real. Prince Oliver is brave, adventurous, and loving. He really speaks to Delilah.

And then one day Oliver actually speaks to her. Turns out, Oliver is more than a one-dimensional storybook prince. He’s a restless teen who feels trapped by his literary existence and hates that his entire life is predetermined. He’s sure there’s more for him out there in the real world, and Delilah might just be his key to freedom.

Delilah and Oliver work together to attempt to get Oliver out of his book, a challenging task that forces them to examine their perceptions of fate, the world, and their places in it. And as their attraction to each other grows along the way, a romance blossoms that is anything but a fairy tale.”

Before I even started this book, let alone buying it my friend had recommended it to me. She said “the male lead falls in love with the reader,” so I knew it was going to be good. And boy, was she right. This book was absolutely stunning! Although some spots did confuse me I figured it out right away on what was happening. I loved how there was three different voices in this story. The character development was phenomenal. From the actual story, to the characters point of views. Each one of them was described beautifully and wonderful, along with the supporting characters also. The way the pictures where designed made it even more enjoyable to read. Making me see how the authors wanted the characters to look and feel.

Back to the character development and such, might I just add that the characters where HOT AS HELL?! Yes, that includes Frump also {I don’t care if he is a dog}. Oh and the plot twists. Can’t forget about those now can we? They were epic and page turning, truly delightful to read. And the plot twists inside other story plot twists? Very creative. In general this book was very creative and imaginative. It made me wish that this truly did happen, just so that I could have my own Oliver {aka Prince Charming}. Brilliant ideas at every turn and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who loves a good fairy tale, or something different for a while. {A character coming to the real world perhaps?}. I mean come one who wouldn’t want their own fairy tale.

Beautiful, Amazing, Wonderful, Page Turning, these are just some of the words that came into mind when I finished this book. And might I add, also highly artistic when it came to the drawings and doodles in the pages. They made it a very fun read.

Congratulations Judi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer on the amazing, out of this world book.
